Our "songs from the Musicals" is a selection from Les Miserables by Schonberg arranged for male voice choir by A. Humphreys. Our ‘foreign’ song this year is ‘Die Nacht’ from Op17 No 4 by F Schubert which naturally we are singing in German. We are also singing the 'Workin' Man’ which is a traditional song about mining from Nova Scotia. A recent introduction is "Coney Island Baby" as sung and arranged by The Mainstreeters, Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1945.

Examples from our repertoire include :-

An American Trilogy (M Newbury/A Humphreys)

Bring him Home from Les Miserables (Schonberg/Kretzmer/Boublil)

The Pasture (R Frost/R Thompson)
Medley from Jesus Christ Superstar(A Lloyd-Webber/A Humphreys)
Hand me down my Silver Trumpet (L Burgess)

Alexander's Ragtime Band (I Berlin/D Hood)
I will lift up mine Eyes unto the Hills (Simmons)
