Choirs
Steeton
Male Voice Choir
This choir currently has around 80 members and travel to a wide
variety of venues to sing - mainly for charity. We joined them in
Bradford in 2008 to help celebrate their Centenary. They sang with
us at our 40th anniversary concert in 2009.
Much Wenlock
MVC
Sang with us at our 40th anniversary concert in 2009. Like us this
choir was also formed in 1969 and (also like us) is primarily a
concert choir singing for pleasure and for local charities. They
have travelled extensively in the UK and Europe.
Chapel-en-le-Frith
Male Voice Choir
Chapel en le Frith Male Voice Choir is one of the leading male
voice concert choirs in Derbyshire. They are based in the beautiful
Peak District National Park. They sang with us at our 40th anniversary
concert in 2009.
Amabile
A local choir of young ladies who have sung with us in the past.
Poynton Male
Voice Choir
Our visit to them in 2011 was prompted by Jim Wilson (2nd Bass)
who used to sing with them.
Stockton Male Voice Choir
Our visit to them was also in 2011 and at our joint concert Brian
Winter (1st Tenor and a previous member of Stockton MVC) sang in
both choirs.
Welwyn
Garden City Male Voice Choir
Our major link with them was through Martin Webster who was our
conductor from 2001 to 2011 - after being their conductor. We enjoyed
two joint singing weekends with them.
